Carymoor Environmental Trust

Primary Outreach Workshops

Give your class a ‘taste of Carymoor’ at your school!

If transport costs mean you are unable to visit us, we can bring the Carymoor experience into your school instead. Using your classroom and school grounds, we provide exciting activity sessions that work well as either an inspiring ‘hook’ into a topic, or fun way to wrap-up your learning. Our staff will bring all of the main resources needed for the activities and, supported by your teaching team, will run two hours of engaging activities per class.

What you can expect from a Carymoor outreach day:

Two workshops: Class 1: 10.00-12.00 and Class 2: 13.00-15.00 (we can adapt timings to fit your school day)

We work with one class (up to 35 children) at a time.

We will provide all the main resources needed for the activities (use of some school resources eg scissors/pencils/glue sticks may be necessary).

We ask that ideally both classes choose the same workshop option, although we may be able to provide two different workshops, so do get in touch to discuss this.

We ask that at least 2 members of school staff are present at all times to support us with the activities (ideally more if possible), plus any 1:1 support for SEND children.

We work with schools that are within 1 hour’s commute for our Education team.

Please see our Pricing page for details of the costs for our Outreach education days.

Choose your workshops from the selection below.  Each workshop lasts about 2 hours.

Don't forget that we can currently offer all Somerset primary schools a FREE half day visit on waste and recycling thanks to our Schools Against Waste programme. Find out more here.
