Carymoor Conservation Volunteers

Volunteers are critical to our management programme and we are immensely indebted to them for their hard work and happy attitude

Starts: 30th Nov -0001

We have an active weekly programme of practical volunteering at Carymoor with groups meeting on Tuesdays. These sessions draw in people from all walks of life and all age groups. The emphasis is on enjoyment and education as well as the satisfaction of a task well done. A wide range of tasks are undertaken, some more strenuous than others, from hay-raking to potting up wild flowers and tree planting.

We are also able to set up programmes of work for specific groups on a regular or occasional basis. To date these have included Millennium Volunteers, Learning Gateway, Recovering Mental Health Support Groups, university and college conservation teams, summer camps and school activity or environmental days. Tea, coffee, tools and all necessary training are provided. No previous experience is necessary. If you are interested in joining us we would love to hear from you! Email Neil Gemmell or phone him on 01963 350143.

We're always on the look out for people with time to spare!

Whether that's the odd hour, a regular day or even a longer work experience placement, your time is very valuable to us. Our growing team of volunteers makes a vital contribution both at the centre and at events across the county.
