Welcome to Carymoor - Environmental Education in Somerset

We are an environmental education and nature conservation charity based in east Somerset. The extensive habitats we've created and our location, adjacent to a working landfill site, provide a unique set of opportunities for life-changing educational experiences.

Carymoor Outdoor Education Centre Somerset

Explore the different areas of our website. Find out about Carymoor’s education programme based here at our inspiring education centre as well as our award-winning outreach team. You don’t need to bring a school group to visit us though. Adult and community groups are welcome to book a trip and we hold regular open days and events. Or why not join our growing team of volunteers?

All the wildlife photos you see on this website have been taken at Carymoor by our friend and former Reserve Officer Jules Cross. They illustrate brilliantly the success of the habitat creation and land restoration work we’ve carried out on the 100 acres of capped landfill that we manage.
