Welcome
to Carymoor Environmental Centre
Now also available at Fyne Court
We are a registered charity which has taken over the management of
a former landfill site three miles from Castle Cary, Somerset. Having
a purpose built centre with access to both the working landfill site and
the well established nature reserve on the capped landfill gives us the
opportunity to present a wide-ranging programme of waste reduction, sustainability
and wildlife-themed visits to schools, universities and community groups.
We provide an engaging and fun resource for the demonstration of environmental
issues for everyone.

Education
We deliver educational programmes designed for the National Curriculum.
Viridor Waste Services allows us access to all its
operations; there is the chance to view a working landfill site and much
more. We also offer a wide range of activities.

Waste Action Programme
The SWAP team
is based at Carymoor. We run an outreach programme offering "Reduce,
Reuse, Recycle" presentations and workshops to schools and community
