Winter 24 Volunteering Newsletter

There is so much happening at Carymoor with the volunteering groups that it is hard to keep up with it all.  Hopefully we capture a good amount in our regular newsletters.  We hope you enjoy seeing what we have been up to.

Feedback

  • Karen is an excellent tutor who steps in when asked if advice/help needed. Karen is great at boosting confidence and her tuition skills are excellent. The atmosphere was very friendly and supportive.

  • We had a superb day, Natalie was very accommodating with our timetable as we arrived late. We started with the hunter gatherer games to burn off some post coach energy. We loved dressing up and examining the artefacts. The children absolutely loved the quern stones, fire lighting and shelter building. Nothing but positive things to say. Staff and volunteers amazing - thank you.

  • “This programme is a great way of teaching even very young children about recycling and inspiring them that they can take action to make a difference. Their enthusiasm and knowledge then gets taken home and, hopefully spread through their families and community. It is hugely important that the next generation has this input and gets into good habits as young citizens. Thank you.”

  • I just wanted to say thank you SO much for a fantastic trip today. The children didn’t stop talking about what they did/learned and raved about the day. It was pitched perfectly and even staff learned something new! I will be recommending it to everyone I can. Brilliantly organised and engaging. Thanks again.
