This is a two day course on Thurs 14th and Friday 15th January
The perfect basket for a beginner to try their hand at! Come and make your own Berry Basket perfect for foraging.
10am to 3pm
During this course, you will be guided by your tutor, through the various stages of making your basket, using a variety of willow and the stake and strand method. You will learn how to grade the willow into different thicknesses, make the base of your basket and then wale on the side to give a contemporary feel. Finish with a simple trac border and handle bow.
All materials included. Please note that the baskets in the image was made by your tutor. Willow varieties and colours on the course will vary dependent on availability.
What to expect:
- A small group of a maximum of 6 people.
- The session will be led by Natalie Ferris.
- The course will be held in our Main Centre Buiding.
- Please bring your own lunch. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
- All the tools and materials you need will be provided on the day.
- Take home a beautiful bespoke willow basket.
