Stone Age History Day

Stone Age History Day

Come and experience life in Stone Age Britain! Hone your hunting skills, learn about ancient fire-lighting and shelter building techniques and 'forage' for a Stone Age feast - would your wild harvest feed or kill you?!    Dress up, sit around the fire in our Round House and learn about how our ancestors hunted for food before exploring the reserve and creating your own shelters.

Activities include:

  • Examine stone age artifacts
  • Hunter gatherer game
  • Stone Age shelter building
  • Fire lighting
  • Footprints of the past orienteering
  • Nettle cordage (seasonal)
