Animal Superheroes

Animal Superheroes

This active day offers your class the opportunity to discover which creatures have super powers and whose performances in the wild are often above and beyond those of Superheroes we read about.

  • Which insect living at Carymoor would win a race against Superman? Go pond dipping to discover the superheroes living in and around this habitat.

  • Make a willow dragonfly (year 2) or clay creature (Year 1) to take home.

  • Is there a creature on our site who is like the Incredible Hulk? Go on an interactive discovery walk around our site and find out which creatures have super-strength, super-speed and some interesting eating habits!

  • Become a dung beetle in our dungball rolling relay-challenge!

This day is most suitable during spring - early autumn.  If you are keen to do this at another time of the year, please contact us to discuss activity options.

If your class would like to come dressed as Superheroes for the day we would encourage them to do so!

This day is in Price Band 1.

Feedback for this day includes:

"The children benefited from practical, hands on experience and a way to make their learning memorable and exciting. It gave them opportunities and experiences not easily replicated in the classroom".  Neroche Primary School, March 22

"We enjoyed everything. It was a very interactive day and the children were all engaged. Our group leaders were amazing, really organised and great with the children. We particularly enjoyed the singing, especially the badger song."  Primary School, June 2022
