Explore the wilds of Carymoor nature reserve and hone your pupils’ detective skills and team-work with a variety of exciting activities linked to KS2 Science Unit ‘living things and their habitats’.
Activities include:
- Pond creature run-around ‘key’ game
- Tracks and signs nature walk- which animals live in the habitats at Carymoor and what evidence have they left behind?
- Pond investigation- which creatures can we find, what groups do they belong to and what does this tell us about the health of our pond habitat? Has it been affected by the adjacent landfill site?
- CSI Carymoor scenario: can your class of wildlife detectives solve the crime and discover who killed the wood pigeon?!
This day is available from April to September.
