Fairytale Day – Three Little Pigs

Join us for a magical, cross-curricular experience that will bring the story of the three Little Pigs alive for your class, whilst also consolidating ‘everyday materials’ learning. Team challenges, games and crafts all take place in the enchanted surroundings of our wider nature-reserve and unique buildings.

Exciting activities include:

  • A lively re-cap of the story, encouraging simple actions, role-play and singing.
  • Exploring different materials and their properties with some active games.
  • Working in small groups to build mini houses from straw, sticks and clay.
  • Visiting our replica iron age round house and discovering how it was made
  • Shelter building challenge – can your team stay safe from the huffing, puffing wolf?

  • I just had to email you to thank you all for such a truly fabulous day. The staff were friendly, enthusiastic and perfectly prepared for all the activities. The children learnt a huge amount and could not stop talking about it on the way home - 'best trip ever' was repeatedly heard!

  • We have been coming to Carymoor for many years and they never disappoint. The staff are all incredibly friendly, accommodating and flexible. We have enjoyed a wide range of activities which are all carefully planned and resourced and, most importantly, loved by the children. Thank you Carymoor and we look forward to seeing you next year!

  • “…we had a fabulous time as always - a trip to Carymoor is always, without a doubt, the best school trip! If I could come every term I would!”

  • I just wanted to say thank you SO much for a fantastic trip today. The children didn’t stop talking about what they did/learned and raved about the day. It was pitched perfectly and even staff learned something new! I will be recommending it to everyone I can. Brilliantly organised and engaging. Thanks again.
