We are delighted to announce that Carymoor has been awarded a grant of £96k from the Government’s Green Recovery Challenge Fund. This is the second round of the Fund, a £40 million boost for green jobs and nature recovery.

Our project will involve creating a woodland / scrub habitat for the nightingale at Carymoor, a bird that is globally threatened and on the conservation red list. We will aim to establish the bird at Carymoor, which will also help to support a number of other priority species, working with our brilliant volunteers and the local community.

We can't wait to get started and a massive thank you to National Lottery Heritage Fund for supporting us.

Ninety nature projects across England have been awarded grants from £68,100 to £1,950,000 to create and retain over 1,000 green jobs, backed by the Government’s £80 million Green Recovery Challenge Fund.

We're always on the look out for people with time to spare!
