Costings:

£12 per session for an adult and one child aged 2-4.  Additional children aged 2-4  are charged at £4 each.  There is no charge for younger siblings.

We would like to encourage repeat visits, building on the activities learned the month before, although sessions can be booked individually if required. We are offering a 15% discount if more than 6 sessions are booked at once and this discount includes paid for siblings.

Places must be booked in advance here.

Further information:

  • Our Mini Explorer sessions are most suitable for children aged 2 - 4 years. You are welcome to bring younger siblings along too, but we ask that each adult brings a maximum of 2 children.   There will be a maximum of 12 adults plus children each session.

  • Whilst at Carymoor Parents/Carers are responsible for their children and must supervise them at all times.

  • The session runs from 10am - 12noon (morning session) or 1.15pm - 3.15pm (afternoon sessions). Please arrive promptly so we have lots of time for outdoor play!

  • Each session will take place outdoors in our woodland and nature reserve and will go ahead whatever the weather (except high winds*). So please make sure you and your child ‘dress for mess’ and ready for the weather conditions on the day. Long trousers and enclosed shoes/wellies are ideal as there is a chance of picking up ticks onsite as we have deer. Bringing a change of clothes for your child is a good idea too!

  • In windy conditions when it is not safe to use our woodland, we may have to cancel the session, but we will try to provide an alternative outdoor space away from tree-cover or postpone to another day.

  • After a short starter activity while we wait for everyone to arrive, each session starts and ends with a short walk to/from the woods (10 minutes approx. at toddler pace). You are very welcome to bring a buggy for this if you feel your child will struggle.

  • During each session we will provide a snack/drink break, but please bring your own snack and drinks if preferred, to keep you and your child going.

  • Our education centre has toilets and baby changing facilities and we will encourage everyone to use these before we leave for the woods. We have a simple camping-style toilet at the woods too.

  • We will have measures in place to ensure the sessions run in a Covid-secure way.
