This is a great opportunity to learn the traditional woodland skills of coppicing and pollarding to produce sustainable timber.
Find out about the tools used and brush up on your tree ID skills using Carymoor's unique tree trail! Visit the Carymoor nature reserve and learn a new skill in a relaxed and beautiful learning environment. No previous experience is required.

 

This is a FREE 2 day course running on Friday 4th and Friday 11th December, 10am to 4pm each day.

 

What to expect:

  • A small group of maximum of 5 people.
  • The session will be led by Carymoor's Community Ranger, Neil Gemmell.
  • Most activities will take place outdoors.
  • We will be following social distancing guidelines to keep everyone safe and we are a COVID secure business.

All participants must be aged 19 or over and be a Somerset resident. This is a free course funded by SS&L.
