Get outdoors, learn new skills and learn from the land!

Are you out of work and looking to get active and learn new skills whilst enjoying the great outdoors? Our ‘Learning from the Land’ courses are a great opportunity to learn some traditional countryside skills and help fulfil your potential. The courses are FREE thanks to funding from the European Social Fund. 


The course will give an insight an insight into the type of jobs and careers that can be pursued in the land-based sector and focus on job roles found in the conservation sector including ecology, countryside management, traditional crafts, horticulture, and environmental education. Based at our wonderful nature reserve, the course will be led by Carymoor's Community Ranger, Neil Gemmell.


The programme will take place from 10am until 4pm on Fri 3rd, Fri 10th, Fri 17th, Fri 24th Sept  (10-4pm each day)


No previous experience is necessary and you can work at your own rate in a friendly and supportive environment.
