I’ve been part of Carymoor since 2002 and love it here. I get to work with a brilliant, supportive team, and I’m proud of the difference we make for people and nature. Carymoor is a special place for me. When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me making music – I’m a keen drummer.

  • In more than 20 years of teaching this was the best trip I have ever taken children on – educational, fun and inspirational!

  • “This programme is a great way of teaching even very young children about recycling and inspiring them that they can take action to make a difference. Their enthusiasm and knowledge then gets taken home and, hopefully spread through their families and community. It is hugely important that the next generation has this input and gets into good habits as young citizens. Thank you.”

  • I just wanted to say thank you SO much for a fantastic trip today. The children didn’t stop talking about what they did/learned and raved about the day. It was pitched perfectly and even staff learned something new! I will be recommending it to everyone I can. Brilliantly organised and engaging. Thanks again.

  • "I felt so welcome and there was an amazing atmosphere at Carymoor. I felt a wonderful sense of belonging. My life has changed beyond anything I could have imagined since I came along to a course and subsequently became a volunteer. I could never thank you enough.’

  • I was so impressed with what I had made and really inspired to work more with willow and make more baskets. I haven’t felt this motivated to craft in years!
