Frequently Asked Questions

What if my child is shy or nervous?
It’s completely normal for children to feel a little unsure at first. Our team gently supports new arrivals to help them settle in and build confidence. There’s no expectation to take part in everything straight away – children are free to join in at a pace that feels right for them. To help them feel more comfortable from the start, we also share one-page profiles of the staff leading each day, so children can get to know who they’ll be spending time with in advance.

What will happen if it rains?

We aim to go outside whatever the weather, so please check the forecast and provide appropriate clothing for rain. Some of our activities will take place in our education centre or in our impressive iron age roundhouse!

Can my child attend if they are neurodivergent or SEND?
We aim to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all children and our team has experience supporting neurodivergent young people and those with SEND. Our staff will do their best to support every child attending Go Wild, however, please note that we are not able to provide individual 1:1 support for children with additional needs. If your child needs additional support, please email our Go Wild leader (kate.oliver@carymoor.org.uk) so we can discuss whether Go Wild is the right fit for your child.
