Sail back to the fearsome time of the vicious Vikings! Dress up in simple tunics and experience Viking life as you take part in a variety of exciting activities such as:
- *Cooking simple viking bread ‘twists’ over an open fire, sweetened with Carymoor honey. (*This activity is weather-dependent. If is too wet or windy to go ahead safely, we will provide an alternative activity of making woven willow plates instead.)
- Grinding grain into flour using replica Quern stones
- Decoding our runes to win some treasure
- Navigating our orienteering quiz course to test your viking knowledge
- Digging for Viking ‘artefacts’ in a Carymoor-style ‘archaeological dig’ game
Plus, time allowing:
- Play some Viking-themed games
- Decorate your own Viking ‘wood cookie’ name medallion
Due to the extra staff involved in cooking bread over an open fire this day is charged at a higher rate than our standard Vikings day.
