Would you like to get a career in the environment sector but need to develop your skills and gain experience first? Carymoor Environmental Trust is looking to recruit long-term volunteers to work alongside our conservation team. Applicants should have a keen interest in UK wildlife conservation and environmental education. Located at our Visitor Centre, you will gain experience of working with volunteers and community groups and there will also be the opportunity to learn and practice the practical skills associated with the conservation management and habitat restoration of the site.

Enthusiasm is essential, as is an ability to work with people from a range of ages and backgrounds. The candidate must be reliable, friendly and able to use his or her own initiative. Some practical conservation skills are desirable, as are relevant education and/or experience. Please note that we are unable to offer accommodation.

Desirables:

  • Desire to work in the environmental sector
  • A good level of physical fitness
  • Valid driving license and chainsaw certificate
  • Ability to work with a range of people
  • Willingness to supervise and lead others
  • Willingness to develop skills & high work standards

If you are interested please send your CV and a cover letter to Angus Davies (Land Manager) at ecology@carymoor.org.uk
