We are here to promote waste minimisation, reuse, recycling and composting in Somerset.

Our main themes are:

• Separation of waste at home to improve recycling efficiency and effectiveness
• Home composting
• Minimising waste through 'Smart Buying'
• How to reuse and repair

"Collectively, Somerset local authorities have been set a statutory target of recycling or composting 40% by weight of all household waste by 2006. Somerset's current recycling rate is 32%, so we have a way to go.
