Are you between 8 and 13 years old? Are you wild about nature? Do you fancy yourself as the next Spring Watch presenter?!

Yes! Then come along to our Future Field Naturalists' Club for lots of fun, hands-on wildlife monitoring and practical conservation activities to help you improve your wildlife knowledge and ID skills: This month the theme will be tracks and signs - learn to work out what animals are around by the signs they leave behind.

Future Field Naturalist sessions will run one Saturday a month, with seasonal themes:

  • 18th May: Tracks and signs of mammals, birds and even reptiles. Make a reptile refuge.
  • 15th June: Take a close look at honeybees & native bees. Construct a solitary bee tower.
  • 13th July: Moth, butterfly and caterpillar ID. See what we've caught in our moth trap.
  • 3rd August: Carymoor's spiders - what they eat and how they catch it.

Charge: £25 for 6 sessions, including all materials. Note that sessions do not have to be concurrent if you cannot fit them all in.

Booking essential: e-mail education@carymoor.org.uk or phone 01963 350143 to book your place!
