Time: 2 pm - 4 pm
Are you between 8 and 13 years old? Are you wild about nature? Do you fancy yourself as the next Spring Watch presenter?!
Yes! Then come along to our Future Field Naturalists' Club for lots of fun, hands-on wildlife monitoring and practical conservation activities to help you improve your wildlife knowledge and ID skills.
During December we'll be doing some bird watching, looking for fieldfares and redwings feeding on berries in the hedgerows and flocks of seed-eating birds like yellowhammers and reed buntings in our specially planted bird forage crop. We'll visit the hide at the Carymarsh Nature Reserve to see if any winter visitors have turned up in the wetland.
Our practical task will be creating a 'loggery' to encourage invertebrates for birds that rely on them for a source of food.
Charge: £5 per session, including all materials. Note that sessions do not have to be concurrent if you cannot fit them all in.
Booking essential: e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01963 350143 to book your place!
