About
our sponsor Viridor
Viridor
is one of the UK’s leading recycling, renewable energy and
waste management companies. Viridor gathers and sorts items
that households and businesses throw away, recovers anything
that can be recycled, treats waste to extract any value and
safely disposes of anything that is left over. The company
operates over 240 sites across the UK including 20 Materials
Recycling Facilities, 2 Energy from Waste plants and 22 Landfills,
as well as offering services from waste collection, composting
and logistics to skip and bin hire. Viridor is owned by Pennon
Group, a FTSE 250 British based plc focused on the water and
waste management industries, and also supports Viridor Credits,
an independent organisation which distributes funds to support
environmental and community projects that Viridor would otherwise
pay on landfill tax.
